You will encounter your first Rescued Bot on Sky Garden, near the very start of the level. You’ll dash, swing, and rocket-punch through diverse areas like volcanoes and jungles, unlocking 15 new abilities, including using Barkster, the Bulldog Booster, to air-dash and smash enemies. There is one Puzzle Piece that floats in space in the Gorilla Nebula once you’ve beaten all levels through Apes On The Loose. If you liked Playroom overall, though, you’ll definitely like this. I just watched the ACG review on YT and this game looks phenomenal, lots of things that remind me of the Mario games and lets be honest, there is not a better platformer out there to take notes from. Also the advantages or lets say unique features this game has over the Mario series are way better graphics and for Playstation gamers all the Bots that remind you of well known games.
Items from the gacha machine fill the hub world out further, and it soon becomes an interactive monument to PlayStation history. These special cameo bots are rescued from the galaxies’ main boss fights, which are a real highlight of the experience. Like the rest of the game, Astro Bot bosses are inventive, defying player expectations while still rooted in 3D platformer tradition. The boss fights deliver on visual spectacle, have a nice challenge to them, and above all, are fun to conquer.
@Darude84 I would say, regardless of age, if you have any interest in 3D platformers at all, I can’t recommend this highly enough. I’ve already got this installed and just waiting for tomorrow. This is the first PS exclusive I’ve been excited to play for a couple of years as I absolutely loved the PSVR game and the free PS5 game. Innovation in audio and physics make for an all-around good gaming experience. And when it all collides, you are presented with some of the best moments the game has to offer.
There are even more surprises to be found, but players will have to discover those for themselves. Scattered across its intergalactic world are literally hundreds of hidden bots for Astro to find. A good chunk of these are PlayStation/gaming-themed, making them more than just a simple collectible to discover. While 3D platformers are not necessarily considered the most technically demanding genre, Astro Bot takes those sorts of preconceived notions and jettisons them into the vastness of space. Getting bigger is great, but shrinking down leads to some better creativity in the level’s design. From hopping around tiny mushrooms to grinding on clotheslines, Downsize Surprise overall is a delightful level thanks to the Mouse power-up and unfortunately, Astro Bot doesn’t feature it as much as it should.

Since all PS5 consoles come with “Astro’s Playroom” for free, it’s more than likely that “Astro Bot” will become a big hit for Sony. This is because every console owner has played the previous installment and are likely to want more from the character. Armored Hardcore is the last Astro Bot DLC stage in the Vicious Void galaxy and rewards players with an Assassin’s Creed Cameo Bot. The fact that they added so much DLC makes me think I should send Team Asobi some presents of their own. You should still be able to find cheaper digital sales on retail websites though. If you’re in the UK then Boxing Day this Friday should be good.
This can bounce players up and it can be deployed three times after every sucking motion. Players can also deploy grass shrubs below them to do some platforming. Players can even suck up concrete in a later level to hop around and there might be more that won’t be dived into. The point is, the Elephant is a versatile power-up that looks good on Astro Bot’s back too.
Every stage is crafted with intent, as nothing feels out of place. Even with the levels’ linear design, gamers will want to explore every square inch to discover fun secrets hiding in just about every corner. Team Asobi brought their signature flair to the mix by making Astro Bot’s levels and platforming stand out.

Now it’s up to Astro Bot to literally put the pieces together. Astro Bot’s various worlds have a lot of colorful characters you’ll meet along the way. To challenge Bully Space Nebulax, the final boss of the game, you must first complete every main planet across all galaxies. Last year saw the release of Astro Bot, our biggest game to date.
Once you have unlocked Crash Bandicoot Special Bot and its unique cosmetic from the Gatcha Lab (Protective Spirit), find Crash at your Crash site. To unlock the Royally Stuck trophy you need to first collect The Prince Special Bot (aka Katamari Damacy) on Downsize Surprise world in the Tentacle System. https://af88.bid/ is to unlock the Rolling Star Gatcha Collectible from the Gatcha Lab. Look for Kratos Bot and Thor Bot near the bridge that leads to the Jungle Temple at your Crash Site (northwest of the crashed Mothership). These levels feel so Nintendo-like because they get everything out of their ideas. If you’re small but you can become big, can you blow stuff up from inside? Astro Bot is a platformer that genuinely thinks like the best platformers out there. It anticipates the things that you will anticipate, and then goes one better. There are jokes about tech demo ducks in here, then, but there’s also the sense the whole thing is, on some level, a huge tech demo.
@get2sammyb people can do what they want but I wouldn’t say it’s totally fine. Part of the enjoyment of games like this is discovering stuff and figuring out puzzles. Using a complete walk through from day one just reduces the amount of enjoyment you can have. Winter Wonder is a DLC level that unlocks after clearing the main game. It’s a special, festive-themed level full of Special Bots and other goodies to find.
Later updates introduced four Special Bots to Astro’s Playroom, who can be saved and transferred to Astro Bot. A release party also took place in-game, where Bots celebrated upon the game’s release. As for the is-it-fun thing, Astro Bot’s solution is even more winning. But what I really love about Astro Bot is that it’s also just filled with bits and pieces. Stuff to roll around in, stuff that forms little piles that can be kicked about.

I wasn’t sure I was going to fire up Kayak this season (with the sales that just dropped, I’m picking up about four new PSVR2 titles, so I’m not sure I’d have thought to play this one again).
